I still have to detail the roads and creeks. I've accidently left out a patch of wood and one arm of a creek but that's easy fixed. We'll be playing this one soon, hopefully more than once! Should look fine with buildings, trees and troops added.

Gaines Mill battlefield progress
I've had a go at building a battlefield. I've chosen Gaines Mill from the Fire'n Fury eastern battles book. It's not too flat, has less woodland than some of the others, and above all, there are lots of miniatures in it!
I still have to detail the roads and creeks. I've accidently left out a patch of wood and one arm of a creek but that's easy fixed. We'll be playing this one soon, hopefully more than once! Should look fine with buildings, trees and troops added.

That looks great John. Are the hills removable? You are right, it is gonna look great with the troops and other terrain features on it.
